The sun is a real source of happiness for most people, perhaps the best anti-depression remedy. But unfortunately it is not safe!

Tanned skin is characterized by a reaction of skin cells: melanocytes, which release melanin under the influence of UV rays. Depending on the type of skin some have rapid, slow, or sometimes no reaction.

You should know that when reflected on water, UV intensity increases by 30%. The duration and frequency of exposure requires prevention and knowledge of your skin type, use the proper factor of sunscreen, and good advice is essential. It’s not just dealing with ageing but the risk of skin cancer. In short, you must protect yourself with a sunscreen that suits your skin type, men who engage in outdoor activities more frequently, are very prone to melanoma.

To make your tan last, you can prepare your skin, through exfoliation, regular cleansing that remove dead cells, and an optimal moisturiser before, during, and after exposure to sunlight.

Car, office, plane, train, shopping malls, our skin is too often assaulted by poor ventilation in this type of environment.

The contrasts between warm and cold air, accelerate dehydration. Two actions: humidify the air, using water atomiser (Oxywater) and of course intensely moisturise your skin.

Air pollution and assaults and clogs the skin, it breathes less, pores are blocked and sebum doesn’t clear as well.

An unbalanced diet or stress, and especially smoking can also cause the same inconveniences.

If you smoke occasionally, it will not be betrayed by your complexion, but if you smoke it will be much duller and your skin will be oily. The skin is dehydrated and you have to provide care in cleansing and moisturising.

Athletes sorely test their bodies and their skin.

Water, wind, and UV rays are the enemies of athletes but also all "outdoor" workers. In addition, sport increases perspiration and yet, the elements it contains, such as sodium, minerals, and chlorine dry out your skin.

To avoid feeling tightness and discomfort, there is only one watchword: moisturise.

Protecting the skin will be the athletes’ guiding light, protective cream for water and air, sunscreen for outdoor sports (especially skiing and water sports)

Repair by intense hydration, even for indoor sports, face and body.

Cold dry climate and the sun in high altitude are two factors that require maximum protection whatever your skin type (or skin colour). The UV intensity increases on average by 30% because of the sun’s reflection on the snow, the skin is therefore particularly exposed in the mountains.

Protect: protection must be optimal, skin and eyes suffer real attacks, sometimes with tragic consequences. There are also protective creams that create an artificial lipid film and protect against cold and wind.

Moisturise before and after: use of moisturising creams and masks.

Repair: continue to moisturise the skin on a regular basis at least 15 days after your return.

Winter sun:
 
Your skin is not prepared and it faces a totally different climate. Long flights are also an important factor in dehydration. Prepare the skin before departure: exfoliation and deep moisturiser.

Moisturise during the trip, protect skin during your stay: avoid times when sun is strongest. Rehydrate after exposure to the sun.

Different in North and South Asia, skin in the North is more similar to white skin, the skin is oily but thin and elastic.

For the skins in the South the complexion is the darker and thicker.

Asian skins therefore suffers the same problems as Black skin, acne and dehydration. However, they better resists the scars of aging than Caucasian skin.

Genetically, this skin type is different from Caucasian skin through a network of elastic fibres and denser collagen. Melamine dispersion through all layers of the epidermis and a lipid film richer in lipids is a characteristic of Black skin.

More toned and better protected, it ages slower than lighter skin. Well suited in its original environment, it becomes more vulnerable in temperate climates or becomes dehydrated, causes dry skin, and gives a greyish appearance to the skin.

Acne is more prevalent, the secretion of sebum and shedding increases, the dead cells persist and obstruct the pores, creating pimples. People with this skin type can use the same treatment as oily skin by increasing the frequency of exfoliation.

This is normal skin that often has an oily t-zone, that is, the forehead, nose, and chin. In this area the pores of the skin are larger and sebum production greater and more visible.

It is in this area that the skin tends to be shiny, a common problem for mixed skin.

Basic care for combination skin:

• Cleanse with Face Wash, a non-aggressive facial cleanser, in the morning and evening. A gel or liquid moisturiser is sufficient, as combination skin does not require rich cream. After each facial cleansing apply Skin Feed matifying moisturiser.
• Apply an exfoliating gel or paste, once a week. Then apply a gel or liquid  Skin Feed, moisturiser. Occasionally, have a facial (purifying care) to prevent the appearance of blackheads. Then apply Skin Feed cream or moisturising liquid.

Normal skin is skin with an optimal balance, without dry, oily or hyper-reactive zones.

Few men - and women – have "normal" skin,

Naturally balanced skin, and skin that maintains this state over time is not witnessed often.

Basic care for normal skin.

• A gentle face cleansing like Face Wash. in the morning and evening.


• Liquid moisturiser, applied after every facial cleansing.


• New Skin gentle exfoliant once a week, followed by an application of fluid moisturiser Skin Feed.

Skin can become dry for two reasons: inadequate hydration, or a lack of lipids (essential fatty acids, cholesterol, and ceramides) The skin is thin, rough, lines are fine and numerous, and the skin is often dull.

It’s easy to recognize the unpleasant signs of dry skin: irritation, hyper-sensitivity, and the effects of visible dryness: particularly dry cracks. It "pulls" the skin after a shower.

Dry skin therefore needs extra hydration. It needs products rich in oily texture that durably nurture and moisturise.

Basic care for dry skin

Clean morning and evening with Face Wash, a very soft gel. Then apply Skin Feed, a nourishing and moisturising.

Relax Moment hydrating mask used once per week. Hard or calcareous water such as pool water, and rough towels are not good for dry skin. Nor is cold or wind while skin dries.

Sensitive skin tends to over-react, sometimes inconsistently depending on the facial zone; it is prone to rashes, and to spots that suggest an allergy with a slight burning sensation. There is a deficiency in the skin barrier in sensitive skin and microcirculation is also slowed.

Sensitive skin requires the gentlest products available. Absolutely avoid aggressive products, eau de toilettes, and products containing alcohol.

It is best to experiment, observe the skin’s behaviour, and persevere in your quest to find the right line of products.
